The exemption permits you to walk more than four dogs on leash when on any footpath, formed track or shared space.
When in an area designated as being under effective control, only two dogs are permitted to be off-leash at any given time.
You must ensure that any dog off leash is under effective control, meaning it responds to recall commands, does not cause a nuisance to any other users of the space, dogs or wildlife.
You are required to carry bags to remove any dog fouling.
No fee is payable; the exemption will be mailed to your address on record.
This exemption is for an individual only; it does not apply to all persons in your house or family.

The exemption is granted to the individual and not the company; it is not transferable.
Disclaimer
The granted exemption may be revoked by the Manager Animal Services in instances where there has, on a balance of probability, been a reported breach of the Act or Bylaw. There is no right to appeal the decision to revoke the exemption.
